SHE Techfest 2024 | Support Her Entrepreneurial Journey

“SHE Techfest – Support Her Entrepreneurial Journey” is part of the National Creative Startup Talent Search Competition TECHFEST 2024, aimed at seeking, supporting, and honouring female entrepreneurs who make efforts to apply science and technology in solving business and societal issues.

A platform for seeking national creative startup talent

The National Creative Startup Talent Search Competition TECHFEST 2024 is a program to seek, support, and honour Vietnamese domestic and international startups and innovations that apply science and technology to address business and societal challenges.

The competition aims to attract participation from provinces, localities, and the Vietnamese diaspora, along with the private sector and international investment funds, contributing to the gathering of resources and the development of the national innovation ecosystem.

The competition also hopes to connect Vietnamese entrepreneurs and businesses to financial resources, development partners, knowledge sources, and expert support. Participants will have the opportunity to receive attractive financial prizes and support packages worth up to $500,000, as well as exposure to over 100 domestic and international funds and investors throughout the competition rounds, media sponsorship and promotion by a network of over 200 media agencies, and support and capacity building from more than 40 organizations and 80 multidisciplinary experts.

The final round is scheduled to take place in November 2024. Over six months from May to November 2024, a series of training, networking, knowledge-sharing, and application consulting programs will be conducted online and in-person in various localities, organized in coordination with startup support communities across the country, technology experts, large businesses, investment funds, and the creative community of Vietnamese abroad.

Honoring female entrepreneurs and innovators

SHE TECHFEST 2024 is the Women’s Creative Business Development Support Program within the framework of the National Creative Startup Talent Search Competition TECHFEST 2024.

The program seeks, supports, and honours women entrepreneurs and innovators in Vietnam who apply science and technology in resolving business and societal issues. The best-performing female startup teams will receive a special award for the Women’s Entrepreneurship Innovation category.

The program also aims to promote women’s entrepreneurial spirit, provide business development consulting on digital platforms, connect female entrepreneurs and young women startups with the innovative startup support ecosystem, and offer online training in business models and fundraising presentation skills, connecting them with experts, partners, and investors to support team development in the future.

The target audience for the program includes female owners of small, micro-businesses, cooperatives, individual business households, and women leading business units or projects that have innovative products/services/technologies, as well as those interested in starting a business or having startup ideas.

Participants in the program, in October-November 2024, will engage in a series of training activities focused on digital business development and enhancing access to appropriate funding sources. This will be followed by opportunities to participate in post-training support activities, including screening 40 Businesses/Projects to participate in the National Creative Startup Talent Search Competition TECHFEST 2024; and training for 40 selected Businesses/Projects to showcase their products at TECHFEST 2024.
