Women Entrepreneur Awards
In 2025, IID will be the implementing partner for the Bayer Foundation's Women Entrepreneurship Award (WEA) in Vietnam. This is a global award for female entrepreneurs with innovative solutions in two areas: health and food security, while also encouraging models for responding to climate change.
Overview
The Women Entrepreneurs Award 2025 Local Scouting Program was implemented by Research Institute for Innovation and Development (IID) to support women-led businesses across Vietnam through communication campaigns, networking activities, and application coaching. Over three months, the program connected entrepreneurs with mentorship, ecosystem partners, and growth opportunities through online/offline events, media outreach, and personalized support.
Problem Statement
Limited access to mentorship, networks, and visibility constrains women entrepreneurs’ opportunities to grow and gain recognition.
The Women Entrepreneurs Award 2025 Local Scouting Program includes the following key activities:
Offline Networking Event: Women entrepreneurs connect with mentors, ecosystem partners, and fellow founders to exchange experiences and explore collaboration opportunities.
Online Information Session and Q&A: Participants learn about the award, application requirements, and selection process, with practical guidance to strengthen their submissions.
Enterprise Evaluation and Shortlisting: Applications are reviewed to identify promising women-led businesses, with personalized coaching to help shortlisted candidates communicate their achievements and growth potential.
